Taster #16 at Beer Under Glass. Again, I break my resolved to only tap brewers I haven't had yet, selling out for an impy stout with no line in front of it. From the tap, this kicks up much more of a head than other Imperial stouts. The head looks more like a bit of cappuccino foam. But the smell is a nice whiskey and bourbon combination. Solid black in the glass. The smell is solid barrel-aged stout, with bourbon and malt to it. This is a solid sipping BA stout, full of whiskey taste, but nice and sweet. A lot of bourbon flavor and yes, alcohol. Enough to make me wonder if i will leave this event alive!
