16 oz can from Orange & Brew, March 21. Popping the tab on another new-to-me brewer. Nice grassy hop smell when I do pop that tab. Pours an off-white, sudsy head over a light amber body. No fruity hop in the smell, mainly grass, pine and pine sap. A good old-fashioned West Coast IPA nose. Taste is a familiar smack of Citra hop. Invites comparisons to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and from there I'd say it's less malty than the SNPA, but there's a decent dryness to the malts. Hops notes get stronger as I drink more of it, begins to curdle the tongue. Still, glad to know someone;s still doing the old-fashioned IPAs.
