16oz can pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is big sweet fudge chocolate vanilla some coffee wow. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate coffee vanilla and a fudge on the end.

On draft. Solid black color under a thin ring of tan foam, in a ten oz. tulip. Light nose of cocoa with a side of alcohol. The chocolate fudge gets a little overwhelming on the first sip, frankly. The palate is a little better behaved on the second swig. Then again, the description promises sweet chocolate, and it does indeed deliver. I’m finding a lot of these pastry or cake beers lately, and I’m not sure I’m warming up to the style. But then, this is pretty smooth compared to my recent tasting of straight on Imperial Stouts. This could grow on me. But I see no need to age this or it in a barrel.
