To venture across boundaries takes us further from where we started and brings us closer to where we begin.
Patiently lagered in horizontal tank for over 2 months to integrate and refine its flavors, Venture is ready for you.
It’s brewed with mixture of 100% Virginia grain and hopped with varieties from just west and east of the Bavarian/Bohemian Forest.
The layered grist is brought to life with brewing methods that highlight its depth. For their part, a lush ribbon of hop aroma and flavor envelops the beer, from aroma to last sip. A bouquet of citrus, floral, and noble spice hops meld with toasted biscuit meets honeysuckle malt body. Full flavor in balance.
The reference for this beer comes from our time walking the small towns of Bavaria and Bohemia. But mostly the countryside in between. Instead of a particular beer or style, the surroundings are what left the impression.
We’d pop into brewery restaurants that’d been in a family for generations. The combination of traditions in this area creates food and drink that is both fresh and familiar.
Venture heads down the path of blending cultures, offering its own identity. It’s a beer that tastes to us both modern and classic. Anchored without being tethered.

Pint at the brewery, pours a clear, dark gold with a finger of white head. Nose has honey and sweetened dough, the grain is very clear. Delightfully Crispi, malt and honey. Bread and cracker. Nice.
