Bottle. An unclear brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving curtains. Bourbon and oak on the nose, vanilla and some roasted notes. Coconut and some dark chocolate. Medium to full body and a very soft carbonation. Dark chocolate, nuts, roasted malt notes, vanilla and some coconut hints in the flavor. Long finish with dark chocolate and some bourbon. Not a bad one, but it lacks finesse. 151110

33cl bottle from Alko Arkadia. Pours murky brownish color with a thin white head. Aroma has Bourbon up front, sweetness, syrupy notes and some plastic notes that fortunately fades away with time. Nice Bourbon touch, nutty send caramelly. Ok balanced, on the sweeter side, but a nice sipper.

330ml bottle, # 86, thanks to djoeye for the share. Cloudy mahogany coloured body. Spotty lacing from a bubbly fawn-coloured head. Aroma of forest and oak. Wood, forest and ripe fruits to the taste buds. Jam-like impression. Not much bourbon. Some sipper qualities, still rather sweet (Tromsø 11.10.2015).

(Bottle, 0.33 l - 8.4 % ABV - brew 86 - BBE 05/2020, from Alko Arkadia, 20151009) The beer poured deep dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, malts and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, grass, vanilla, toasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty brew in which bourbon wasn’t overdone.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Dark reddish/brown with a small head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, grain and some alcohol. Similar taste. The body was almost full and the bitterness low. A descent one.

Bottle. Pours cloudy dark copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, fruit and vanilla, with notes of yeast. Sweetish flavour of the same, with some scattered, bitter, hoppy notes and sourish touches. Sweetish and acetic aftertaste. Decent.
