On tap at Lupulo. Apma is full of fruit. Lots of stone fruit and tropical cal fruit including peaches and pineapples. Light pine resin character with moderate citrus notes. Light background malt character. Pours a clear golden color with a thick white head that very slowly recedes to the edges. Moderately high lacing with faint legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a lot of fruit notes from the hops. Lots of stone fruit including peaches and tropical fruit notes of pineapple, mango and papaya. Medium light pine resin and some light floral hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium light to light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice small IPA with some dry malt notes. Tons of juicy hop character. I really don’t get much sterling from this beer, it must just contribute to the other flavors and aromas. One of the best single IPAs I have had.

Not totally sure if this should an IPA or an APA, but it’s in that general area. Pours a bright and relatively clear. Not much cloudiness in this one. Just a touch of haze. The color is coppery, orangey gold. Nice enough white head. A bit rocky. Puffs up easily enough and leaves some decent lacing. OK retention. The aroma has citrus and tropical fruit hoppiness. It seems like a blending of grapefruit rind/pine hop flavors with brighter tangerine/pineapple/kiwi/mango. Really nice mix. Everything plays well together. The sweeter mango and kiwi are particularly strong but benefit from the heavier, more resin-y flavors in the background. Peaches, strawberries, rainier cherries. There’s a lot of fruit complexity, really. Little to no malt character, besides some muted sweetness. Taste starts off with mild pale malt sugars behind bright strawberry, mango, peach, pineapple, tangerine hops. Finishes with those more bitter flavors, grapefruit rind, pine, acidic pineapple, tart berries. Fairly dry. Very mild bitterness until the finish, which has a nice bite to it. No booze or other off notes. Mouthfeel is light and slick with hop oiliness. Very easy to drink. I’m easily getting through my growler. Normal carbonation. This is an excellent hoppy beer. It’s got a great blend of hop flavors and a nice light feel. Tasty.
