750 ml black waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat (sold out now). ABV is 13.2%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate brown head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, fusel, chocolate, oak and bourbon. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour, notes of oak and bourbon, brown sugar and dark dried fruits, bitter finish.

WoW – one of these boubon barrel aged beers that fixed it.
Not to much bourbon here. Thank god for that.
A really fine and pleasant evening sipper

aroma is not *that* strong, complex layered notes of ash, tar, roasted malts, wood, charred wood, booze. all very well mixed together but also not as potent as i would've expected.
7/10
flavor is much, much better with a lot more charater. roasted malts, salt licorice, salt caramel, espresso coffee, bourbon, wood, fainter charred wood, charred woody almost sour dark dried fruity note. not quite like port wine, more like a little bit of something tart mixed with a lot of bit of something very roasted malty
the beer looks really good, pours black , settles black with a brown head. 4/5
palate is average 3/5
overall a very decent heavy BA stout, but not all the way up there 17/20

Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, wood, bourbon, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, lots of bourbon, vanilla, wood, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Slightly overdone on the bourbon for my liking.
