Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. This beer is a brownish-black color with a medium tan head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, piney hops and citrus. Medium body with a well-balanced interplay of sweet bready malt and floral hops. Some pine and fruit notes as well. The finish is malty at first with a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Pretty good Black IPA overall.

draft at the Ft Wayne brewpub - Pours near black with a small light tan head. The aroma of of floral and citrus hops with a touch of roast malt in the background. The flavor is full of citrus hops though there’s also lots of sweet roast malt to balance it. There are lingering citrus and floral hops notes and roast character in the finish. It’s not as overwhelmingly hop heavy as many IIPA but it’s very good.
