On tap at Schouskjelleren. A clear one, reddish brown in color and with acreamy, beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is roasted and toasted, some notes of dark wort and citrus peel, with bread and dried fruits. Bitter on the palate, with a faint warming touch and a nice carbonation level. Some dried fruits and bread in the initial flavor, roasted malts and toast being the most evident all the way. Slighlty too sweet in the finish I think. A really pleasant and tasteful brown ale. 140501

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, bread and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel and raisin finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft

02/04/2014 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bruna, intensa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma media a grana fine, molto persistente. Al naso sentori di malti tostati, nocciola in polvere, frutta secca, davvero intensa. In bocca è ben equilibrata, nonostante il corpo elevato e la gradazione alcolica non risulta affatto "pacchiana" e si lascia bere con relativa tranquillità. Nocciola, tostato, una lieve nota di cioccolato. "Imperial brown ale" davvero niente male!
