Cloudy pale orange. Quickly disappearing white head. Fruity, but somehow unfresh apple aroma. Taste is better and well balanced with bitterness. Slightly spicy aftertaste.

Bottled:
Hazy orange colour. Thick head.
Strong garlic aroma!
Tastes like a pale lager with a growing chili and garlic heat.
Odd in a bad way.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Sentrum Tromsø. Served comfortably chilled.Tight pearl white head with fine duration and solid lacing. Near clear golden body. Muddy last pour. Smell of dark wheat, leafs and nuts. Ripe fruity flavours supported by caramel and herbs with a nice, not disturbing, chili pepper that kicks in towards the ending. Well balanced and fine bodied. Smooth on the swallow. Like it (at home 08.08.2014).

Sample from bottle in the Malt & Humle tent at Gladmatfestivalen 2014, Stavanger. The base beer seems fairly bland to me (for an Ægir beer, that is - I have high expectations for anything by Ægir), there is wasabi in both aroma and flavour, but the beer is not extreme. Just can’t figure out what the wasabi is doing there in the first place. Will rerate when I get hold of a whole bottle.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Mild spicy aroma with wasabi, malt and some herbal and malty notes. Moderate sweet with lovely mild malty, lightly spicy and wasabi flavours with a slight burn in the finish. Far better than expected, and quite nice actually. Goes down easy on a hot day. Wouldn’t mind more of this.

What a good looking beer. Cloudy orange golden color with a fine white head. Saisionish aroma. Fine Belgian yeast and mild farmhouse loverboy touch. Wasabi are mild present. Fine body. Moderate sweet and a fresh bitterness. Average carbonation. Fine flavor with yeast, mild citric, herbal and mild wasabi. I really liked this one.

15.07.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy, boiled vegetables, wet grain, light malts, hay, wasabi, potatoe, weeds, yeast, broth, flowers, cellar. Taste is floral, hay, yeast, flowers, weeds, cellar, paper, potatoe, light malts, grass, yeast, hints of warming grassy wasabi. Little bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Kind of interesting, but still boring. Even though the name of this beer referrs to a Norse godess, eir in Norwegian also means the oxidized green layer on copper. And since this is a wasabi saison, I actually would have expeced, and preferred, this beer to have a copper green color. Anything else is just wrong...

Lys brun grumsete med tynt offwhite skum. Hvete, malt, krydder og noe animalsk lukt. Malt, korn i starten før wasabien kommer tydelig på slutten.
