Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Sweetness on the aroma must be maple, but hard to pinpoint. Vanilla. Not very porter-y. Taste has very light roast character, more sweet sugar than anything. Not great.

Bottle courtesy of Craig at Craigs doing a Chris O tasting, Edingburgh (ta for the beer Craig) Saturday 15th March Pours dark brown, not totally my thing if truth be told. Light beige some ruby glints, a little toffee fruity, it’s fine a bit thin, its ok but not really my thing. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Huge tan micro head with excellent retention conglomerates and recedes leaving no lacing. Chocolate and maple aromas. Sharp with sweet maple and mild smoke upfront turning to bitter chocolate in the lasting finish.
