Several glasses from a growler filled the previous day at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza & Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a black dark brown with a well formed 1 inch khaki head. Nice retention and lace. The aroma is clean roast coffee along with caramel sweet and a bit of pine to the back. The taste matches nose, with clean roast coffee flavor, a bit of cream sweetness and pine hop giving it brightness. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a dry roast finish. Solid.
