Several glasses from a growler filled 3 hours previously at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza & Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. the pour is opaque black with a tight ½ inch khaki head. The aroma is char roast and caramel malt upfront, along with clove banana general hefe yeast. The taste is a really interesting and unique charred grain wheat, bit of the sweet caramel from the nose, and closing with Weizen yeast character, mostly the clove elements. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and mineral char finish. Fun, tasty beer.
