RBESG 2017, sampled on July 21, 2017.At the brewery, Käbliku Pruulikoda, on the ride from Riga to Tartu. Brewery stop no 2.From bottle.Black color, small light brown head. Sweet, malty scent, also alcohol. Malty, sweet, roasted, grainy taste. Alcohol, roasted aftertaste. Full mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.7/4/8/5/17=4.1

33cl Bottle sample at the brewery. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, sugary, chocolate, rye bread, fruity, some coffee. Flavour follows, it’s OK but lacks a bit of depth imho. Medium bodied.

7 3 8 3 15 Bottle at the source, RBESG ’17. Dark brown with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of coco powder, dark chocolate, malt, toffee, caramel and light coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet. Medium to full bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.
