~12 ounce goblet draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed black brown with a ½ inch tan head. The aroma is roast along with floral notes, hint of sweet vanilla and a very soft licorice. The taste is the soft roast of the nose, along with wheat grain Saison notes and a pleasant lingering yeast finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the yeast dry finish. Nice take on a style (Black Saison) I am not normally that into.
