Cask at the White Lion, Aldershot. A glossy opaque black pour with a thin tan head; aroma of well roasted malts; dry oatmeal taste with a rather thin, smooth lactic body; and a very dry finish. Lacking bitterness, more a mild than a stout, and also lacking the promised chocolate, raisin & coffee flavours - although there are definitely oats in there.
