We called this cyder Imperial in honour of our forefather JB Chevallier's success at the Imperial Fruit Show in 1921. Every year we craft a special vintage. This is our 293rd.
An exceptional full-bodied cyder, made with a blend of muscovado sugar and a single year's harvest of bittersweet apples.

Bottle shared at mini-tasting. Apple juice dark golden color, small white head. Aroma is medium to strong apple, light sugar hints. Flavor is similar. Finish is, I would say, on a scale of 1-7 where 1 is dry and 7 is sweet, a 3. Just below mid-mid.

Ok. Little too sweet. Nothing special. I prefer my cider dry and funky!

500ml bottle (Harvest 293) from Sainsbury's in London. Colour is deep gold, clear. Aroma apples, grapes, wine touch. Taste is rich apples, white wine, bit tarty, apples skin, soft carbo, good one, enjoyed.
