Бурный поток горечи, закрученный вокруг тотемного американского хмеля Chinook. Плавная сладость обжаренных солодов перетекает в смолисто-пряную бездну хмелевого вкуса.

Appearance: slightly fogged amber colour with a one finger tall ivory-coloured head of perfect retention. Aroma: resin and pine needles, meadow flowers, honey, some caramel, candied citrus fruit, esters, lupulin. Taste: medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter, intense resin and pine needles, grapefruit, honey, flowers. Long hoppy ending. Palate: medium to full body, average carbonation. Overall: faitly convincing as an old-school double IPA. Good and nostalgic.

Bottle thanks to onkelgobber. Appearance - dark orange/amber. Thin but attractive head. Nose - candied lemon, grassiness. Taste - loads of sweet malt with the bitterness and fruit coming through afterwards. Palate - close to medium bodied, with initially a mild bitter middle section that then gets drier and drier through to the finish. Overall - interesting journey on the palate. Loads of complexity.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, and piney and resinous hops. Sweetish flavor, malty, with caramel, and bitter hops, piney, resinous. Medium-bodied. An oldschool Double IPA, decent but too malty and heavy.
