330ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. 8.2% ABV. Pours opaque black with a thin yellowy head. Aroma is dried fruits, chocolate, Belgian yeast. Taste is medium sweet, dried fruit, chocolate. Medium bitter finish. A Strong Belgian Ale crossed with Russian Imperial Stout. Not my kind of thing. I just wanted a regular RIS.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark bronze color, good creamy foam. Aroma: shades of dried fruits, caramel, fruit esters, strong wine, a little prune with brandy. Taste: caramel, prunes and other dried fruits, non-too sweet port wine, a little pie crust, brandy, warming.

Straight from bottle. Aroma: dried dates, figs, toast & roast, New World hops. Medium body. Taste: sweet start of dried fruit, esters. A hole in the middle. Dry roast and serious hoppiness at finish. A solid brew with a little question about balance.
