This richly awesome ale is off-black in colour, with light chocolate and plum fruits in the nose. It has a smooth, rich chocolate and malt taste, with hints of hedgerows fruits coming through from the Bramling Cross hops

Cask at Borough Arms, Crewe. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head and good lacing. There’s roast malts and vanilla in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a creamy texture. Flavour has ots, roast malts and cola plus some hints of spices and treacle. Finish is slightly dry. This is a nice solid porter.

Cask @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Extremely dark red with a light brown head. It's lightly floral with light roasted malts and drier in aroma in this respect. Has a slightly weakened texture but is ok.
