33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Kiellandsplass. Pours clear copper coloured with a medium tanned head. Malty aroma with caramel, some bready and slightly fruity notes and hints of spices. Medium sweet with malty flavours and notes of dried fruits. Finishes lightly bitter. Quite well balanced and pleasant.

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy reddish brown body. Syrupy spicy rye crisp bread with fruity alcoholic notes. Sweet-dryish caramelly syrupy spicy taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish spicy earthy bubblegum aftertaste with lacquer and rye notes. Nice, interesting, unusual. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly web order.)

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and harsh roasted, caramel malts, roasted grain, hay, nuts, weeds, alcohol, hints of almond essence. Taste is sligtly sweet grainy, caramel malts, nuts, hay, chocolate, roasted grain, sugar, weeds. Medium bitterness. Not my cup of tea.

Fra fat på Cardinaltreff jan-14: skjønner ikke hvorfor den kalles for pils når den både i farge og styrke er mer som en bokkøl. Kanskje sogningene har tradisjon for mørke og kraftige øl? Lett sødme med karamell og røstet malt både i aroma og smak. Godt humlet. OK uten å være spesielt mineverdig, men lett å helle innpå.

Draught at Cardinal. Dark amber. Good off-white head. Aroma of.malt sweetness and hops. Well balanced between sweet malts and hop bitterness. Some sharp malt taste. Good drinkability.

330 ml bottle, as Balder Sognapils Extra, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Will also be available there on tap for a short time later. ABV is 6.0%. Ruby colour, large off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel. Medium sweet flavour with caramel and alcohol, some sharpish bittering hops in the finish. Certainly not a "pils" by any stretch of the mind, but drinkable, if you have nothing better around.
