Christmas Presence is an evolving brew. Because we only get to brew it once a year we don’t get many opportunities to tweak and perfect the recipe; but, ever striving for perfection, tweak it we do! The beer is a spiced porter weighing in at a festive 6.4% ABV and bursting with seasonal spices, it has been described as Christmas in a glass!

In previous years the beer had a very small amount of smoked malt running through it. The thinking behind this was to lend a “fireside feel” to the beer, a flavour that would conjure up the memory of sitting beside a roaring fire in your favourite Lakeland boozer. However, smoke flavours are not loved by everyone equally and we felt it was too divisive and split the crowd a bit, so this year we have left the smoked malt out and bumped up the spices to bring you the best version yet – maximum Christmas!
