Bottled - dark brown pour with large beige head, dark fruit, very malty and a bit roasty - slight bite on the taste, ok not amazing.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from the US. Pours unclear copper with a frothy, beige head. Medium sweet flavour, lots of toasted bread, minimal bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming. Rich, not bad.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is clear orange-amber with light sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma is pleasant caramel and fruit. Taste is as aroma, with fruit dominated by apple. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a nice representative of the style. Alcohol is hidden.

Tap at RnH East. Clear chestnut brown color, small off-white head. Aroma is sweetish raisiny, berryish, malty. Medium-bodied. Odd sweet bock with lots of raisins, sweet maltyness, light toasty notes. Quite far from German bocks. Ok but seems to overrated.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a foamy rocky off white head that hangs around for a good minute and a half.
The smell takes on a ton of dark fruit, clingy to roasty to sweet bready/yeasty content rolling on into a sticky malt character.
The taste was moderately smooth and sweet with the sticky malt character bleeding nicely on into the entire flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a fair sessionable to smooth sipping quality about it. Carbonation feels fairly light.
Overall, as a doppelbock, it definitely works, really nice!
