Cider with a little devil in it, but the dog doesn’t bite. The sound of the rain and the distant midnight train brings Georgia to mind. An elegant, spicy blend of Colfax Classic apple-wine superbly aged in Bourbon American whiskey barrels.
The final blend is finished with Georgia peach-juice, a hint of mint and a kiss of Tupelo honey aged in Bourbon barrels. Full whiskey notes right up front, layered, very smooth, toasted oak tannins and vanilla.Velvety peach and a hint of mint julep. Blended straight from whiskey barrels.Give a solid bottoms-up tilt and swirlto disperse sediment evenly to best enjoy whiskey aromas and unique bouquet. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, 50/55F.With or without 1 or 2 ice cubes. Age-worthy.

One of the last bottles I bought from New Beer before they shuttered. Stubby glass. Silent bottle cap. Mostly still pour. Floaters. MGD color. Big initial peach scent that dies quite suddenly. Iced tea. Browned & boiled apple juice; mulled wine. Light tickle of carbonation. Sweet tea. Scaled honey. Faint herbals. Faded spices. Juicy peach on the finish. Soft & slightly yeasty. Slight oxidation. Menthol feeling after a good bit. This isn't the worst possible combination. Really mellow. Surprisingly palatable cocktail. Not really cider.

Bourbon, apple, and oak aroma in nearly equal measure and good intensity. Cloudy golden, very chunky, some legs. Apple is dominant, but secondary bourbon and oak are fairly evident. Medium body, easy carbonation. Surprisingly crisp and not at all boozy despite being full of bourbon flavor. I wasn’t expecting much as this bottle had a bit of age, but it held up well. I quite enjoyed it.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy/cloudy golden. Aroma is apples/honey, medium body, no carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is whisky, honey, and hint of peaches. Flavors don’t meld for me.
