Can direct from the brewery. It pours slightly hazy deep hazy copper - brown with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is rich, oily, unctuous, toffee, loads of dried fruits, orange marmalade, kumquat, peach, nectarine, fruit cake, marzipan, vanilla and intoxicating hit of sherry cask whisky. The taste is dry initially, toothy, chewy, leathery, whisky soaked oak, tannin, some spice, cereal, boozey alcohol warmth, orange marmalade vibes, peachy, apricot, splash of Irn Bru and just a touch of spice with a drying, warming finale. Medium+ body and soft, fine carbonation. Lovely depth. Interesting and unique character.
