Zwickelbier's name references the valve you’d find on a lagering tank that the brewer uses to analyze the beer during its development. The same type of valve that our ancestors, the Goldfingers, used to produce for brewers in Poland back in the 19th century.
This unfiltered lager presents fruity notes of lemon rind, melon, peach, and strawberries supported by a complex honey-like malt character. The style is intended to represent a lager that has shorter cold storage time, leading to a very fresh expression of the raw materials. It also has a softer, and slightly lower, natural carbonation which makes this beer go down quite easy.

Slightly hazy gold color, a brief white head. Smell has some yeast to it, and a bit of cantaloupe. Taste also has some of that yeast bite, and then a peppery Noble hop twinge and a side of citrus.
