750mL bottle at the International Geuze & Kriek festival. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Musty furniture and mildew on the nose. Flavour has tons of musty and mildewy upholstery, old furniture, gentle whiskey barrels, some leather. This is excellent.

750mL bottle at International Geuze & Kriek Festival 2025, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of barnyard funky, a hint of whiskey barrels, and light mustiness. Flavour has a really nice barnyard funk character, subtle whiskey, and earthy leather. Wonderful funk character, finishing with only light whiskey. Beauty.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Gooseberry, rural funk, hay notes. Taste: Very well balanced mix of rural funk, subtle (Gouden Carolus Single Malt) Whiskey notes, oak wood, minerals, fruity gooseberry, citrus fruit notes and some stone fruit. Moderate to over moderate tart, light bitterness. Dry-ish finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Gouden Crolus notes coming back in the finish too. Great, very well balanced Geuze with a nice complexity.
