8oz pour at The Magnet. Pours black. Aroma dark fruit, cloves; some cinnamon and nutmeg. A bit of burnt malts. Flavour prominently winter spice: cloves, nutmeg, all spice. Notes of espresso, toasted malts, dried dark fruits. Pretty well-balanced for a pastry stout. But also a bit harsh?

Dark brown, thin head. Cinnamon, nutmeg sort of aroma. Decent malt base, just enough dark sugars to complement the ginger cookie spices. Decent balance although these types of beers I prefer the brewery goes full Bottle Logic.
