Bottle, 75cl. 2000 vintage. It’s an almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. Caramel, some herbal notes and fruityness in the aroma. Flowers too, but all a bit weak. It’s quite fruity-sour on the palate, with some honeyish maltyness. A faint oxidation shows up too, and there’s also some peppery hints and bitterness. Full to medium body, perhaps a bit too carbonated but it’s fine as it is. Lasting finish with caramel, honey and flowers. Pretty nice this one, complex and tasteful in an unusual way. 140301
