Rich, boozy and warming, Stingo is a complex, tawny barley wine displaying pronounced dried fruit and molasses characteristics, backed up by a malty backbone and soft bittersweet finish.

Chestnut brown with a bubbly / frothy light tan head and a rich fruit cake aroma. Medium bodied, a little chewy, nutty fruit cake with a slug of brandy, brown sugar, sharp little kicks ahead of a dry and slightly bitter finish.

330 can from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear chestnut brown with a small whitish head. The aroma is nutty, brown bread, malt loaf, molasses, toffee raisin, sultana and toasted fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, nutty, toasted brown bread, malt loaf, pie crust, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, spice, wood, tannin and some pleasing alcohol warmth with a drying, woody finish. Medium to fulsome body and fine, supporting carbonation. Well done. Not sweet or particularly heavy. Pleasing.
