Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Hazed pale golden with a good sized white covering. Nose is lemon rind, grassy, spice, yeast esters. Taste comprises bitter orange, lemon rind, straw, light spices. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok saison, pretty basic though.

Bottle, 50cl. A dense, two-finger off-white head forms over a lighlty unclear golden body. There’s a little sugary note in the aroma, with a generic fruityness, some peppery hints and a touch of pale malts. It’s semi-dry on the palate, appropriately carbonated and full. Fruity flavor with some saison yeast and pepper, hints of pine cones, and a nice bitterness. Lasting fruity and bitter finish with some peppery yeastyness. Pretty decent this one, at least it’s dry enough. 140228

Pours pale golden with abundant airy head, effervescent . What, light malt and some sweet fruitiness in the aroma. Taste is light and sweet, but overall mouthfeel is watery and taste dissipates quickly. Difficult style to master, but good try.
