Dyp dyp amber. Pent høyt skum som daler veldig sakte. Kniplingslacing. Beskjeden maltaroma. Smaken malt & karamell. Passet fint til kjøttmat.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark copper-brown with a small creamy off-white head. Has some roasted malts but has a heavy sweetness is attached to this. Quite interesting and doesn’t feel its strength although is clearly full-bodied.

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark brown body with a big, but fast disappearing beige head. Aroma has light roasted, dark malt, liquorice and hint of alcohol. Flavor is medium sweet, light roasted dark malt, liquorice and hint of dry fruit. Medium body, close to be a bit weak, roasted malt in aftertaste that ends up with a faint hint of peat. Drinkable, but rather one-dimensional and not particular elegant.
