27.06.2013, tap @ Top Hops Beer Shop NY:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral and sweet, caramel malts, dark sugar, grass, toffee, vanilla, oak, chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, oak, grass, almond essence, alcohol, vanilla, chocolate, hints of bourbon. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, a little boring.

Bomber. Pours a clear ruby color with a medium white head. A big nose of berries, wood, light caramel. Sweet, some prune and berries, caramel, toffee, port, vanilla, light bourbon only. A bit of heat. Something akin to big spices, ginger and pepper. Pretty nice.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours very hazy darkish copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is mild fruit, oak, and possibly bourbon. Full bodied. Flavor is more oak than bourbon at first, but bourbon builds with time. The fruit is blurred, there’s detectable heat, and the hop seems citrus. The flavors are well blended and difficult to dissect. Somehow it is working into a fairly balanced, heading towards dry, finish. Nice drink to have with a book.
