Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, some smoke and ash, subtle touch of bourbon. Moderate sweet with a mild bitterness. Medium body. A subtle touch of bourbon to a fine base beer.

Dark brown colour, small brownish head. Roast, smoke, yeast, oaky vanilla in the nose, not bourbon itself. Medium-bodied. Smokeyness, coffee, oak in the flavour. Some roastyness. Lacks evident sweet vanilla in the flavour. Dryish finish. Ok.

0,33 l can purchased at the brewery booth at Fisch & Feines 2024, Bremen. BB 05/25. Pitch black in the glass, one finger foamy beige head. Bourbon, vanilla and smoke on the nose. Taste starts alcoholic with bitterness, increasing smoked malt. Dark barrel wood. Malt and coffee with fruity elements in the aftertaste. No real carbonation as expected.

Zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van chocolade, wat koffie en wat vanille. De lichte Bourbonsmaak maakt het geheel perfect af.
