Cask. Pours a cloudy opaque black with a small beige head. Subtle roast in the nose - but really more pruney than roasty. Medium body, low carbonation, has a light tartness, again very pruney with a hint of licorice, hardly any roast, cough syrup notes. Hardly any bitterness. A very British interpretation of a Stout, but enjoyable. 211112

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A pitch black beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has light notes of butter and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, toffee, and butterscotch. Not me.
