...and fittingly, it marks another year for our journey here at 401 Second Street. Waypost is an annual anniversary release, ever maturing in select spirits barrels throughout the year to help us commemorate the brewery's anniversary on March 26th.
In 2023 for the first time ever, our Brewers have created two Waypost-inspired recipes to showcase the depth & breadth of the series. Fortune favors the bold, so for Lucky #7 we are releasing a Wee Heavy Waypost that has been aged in Virginia Distillery Co. Single Malt Whisky Barrels. Brewed with Virginia-grown Malt from Murhpy & Rude, this homage to the Commonwealth is as complex as our home state.
Notes of cool caramel and subtle hints of smoke, with a sweet and oaky finish.

Аромат очень карамельный, ликерный практически, есть ненмого патоки, меда, алкоголя с ванилью. Цвет медово карамельный, без пенки. Вкус алкогольный, очень ликерный, много карамели, патока снова, алкогольная сладость, немного дерева, легкие специи. В целом в стиль и неплохо, но местами слишком алкогольно.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Williamsburg Virginia. A hazed brown dirty coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty warming alcohol, brown sugars, fudge, Salted caramel. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, spicy woody alcohol, rye whisky, palate is semi sweet, oily, hot alcohol, highish carbonation. Little hot good.

Draft: Poured a murky chocolate brown with a off white head. Aroma is boozy, sticky dark fruits, malty, rich. Taste is boozy, toffee, vanilla, whiskey.
