Draft: Poured a deep brown with reddish edges, head was thin light brown. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, nutty. Taste is rich roasted malts, chocolate, ashy, earthy. I think they rolled this beer by the whiskey barrel as the definitely didn't age it in one.

Tap at the brewery in Charlestown WV. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a small fading tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, bitter coffee, burnt cocoa, salty roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty roast, light Ash, tar, bitter coffee. Not much whisky. Palate is semi sweet, drying little thin. Oily mellow carbonation.
