Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. Lactose and roasted malts in the aroma. And pretty much the same in the mouth, where they are joined by vanilla, liquorice and traces of figs and dates. Finish is bitter with some fruitiness. This is a pretty d*mn good milk stout.
