Cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Pours black, nose is light chocolate, hint of mint, more in the taste, interesting.

Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As Ayr Doctor Blacklock No. 3 Mint Chocolate Stout].Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy mint. Flavour is moderate to liht heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, mint, chocolate, artificial mint. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140315]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is basically After Eights, as is the taste. Job done. But like all the Blacklocks, too thin.

cask at stockbridge tap ... dark ruby brown ... nice creamy tan head ... mibt chocolate vienetta nose ... deep roast malts ... chocolate syrup ... mellow roast .... soft mellow mint cream... hides alcohol welll ... would ghave rathered darker roast and no chocolate syrup i suspect ... but its still really nice. 3.7 stillage at cloisters ... deep black ...thin lacing ...soft sweet oast mellow mint nose .... dark malts ... soft chocolate roast ... long soft mint linger ... 3.8
