Bottle as "Belgian Brown", 6.8%. Hazy dark brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted and a little nut. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, chocolate, yeast, phenols and a little bitter.

Bottle. It pours a dense, finger-thick light beige head over a semi-clear, dark amber body. Lightly spiced, almost licorice-like aroma with sweetness, some dried fruits and a touch of caramel. The flavor is more on the licorice side, with caramel, sweetness and dried fruits, although not as interesting as the aroma. Full body, nicely carbonated and qutie dryish. Lasting finish with dried fruits, caramel and some licorice. Overall, a quite nice one, but I’d like more punch in the flavor. 120330

On tap. Hazy, dark amber golden with a rough, beige head. Sweetish caramel, fruit and some Belgian yeast in the nose. Medium body, sweetish fruit and spices again with a little yeastiness. Discreet hoppiness. 201110
