330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty and chocolately, minimally smoky, dark malty and minimally yeasty fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, bacon, smoked ham, bacon-wrapped plum, a touch of wood ashes. Taste is roasty, slightly smoky and minimally chocolately, dark malty as well as slightly yeasty fruity, notes of dark chocolate, plum butter, hints of smoked ham, bacon, bacon-wrapped plum, some blueberry, bramble, black raspberry, a touch of wood ashes.
Viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
A tad too sweet concerning the fruity aspects, mild smokiness, somehow more brash and simultaneously clumsy than really sophisticated in its way to provide flavours - good, but in a way volitional, forced, exerted rather than smooth, natural, consistent.
