750ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Spicy, roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of asphalt, lovage, liquorice. Taste is bitter chocolately, roasty dark malty, salty, salted liquorice notes, a touch of treacle. Hard stuff, not of the smooth-running type.

75 cl bottle @ wPBF Ⅲ
Aroma has licorice and mellow vinegar tones. Flavour has soy sauce, salty licorice, some rubbery tones. Finishes with herbal tones. Too salty but not bad.

Bottle at wpbf. Dark opaque black, small beige head. Coffee, whiskey and toasted notes in the nose. Medium-bodied. Light tart note in the front, then toasted flavors. This one from the series is not so good series.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Opaque black / caramel coloured pour with a lasting tan head. Aroma is earthy coffee, , peat smoked malts, oak and veg pepper. Flavour is veg pepper, spicy pepper, carbonic acid, chalky. Bit of vegetable broth character, like bovrille. Palate is very highly carbonated with a chalky bite.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting. HUGE gusher. Al over the place. After gushing it pours black with a big cappuccino head. Tangy dark malts in the nose, some burnt wood. Light sweet flavor with tangy dark fruits, burnt rubber, dirt; a dazzling example of a well infected beer. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and woody to finish, overly tannic, overly bitter, also tangy. Shabby.
