Sampled from 0.33 l bottle. Very dark ruby to black. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, caramel, raisins and prunes. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, dark honey, currant, raisins and prunes, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not that bad actually!

Bottle 330ml. ceramic w. swing top @ [ The pre Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ]. [ As Schorschbräu Schorschbock Geburtstagsbock 18% ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, raisin, prune, alcohol, light cheese. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long long duration, prune - plum, alcohol, marmalate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. Kindly donated by fonefan, many thanks Jan. Dark brown color with no head. Aroma of caramel, dark malt, dried fruits, notes of oxidization, alcohol. Taste, dark malt, dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, lots of alcohol of course. Dried fruits, alcohol, caramel in sweet finish. I like it, but I am glad that I had only small amount of this.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Dark mahogony brown with a moderate tan covering that clears to edgework. Nos is rich and roasty, treacle toffee, burnt sugar, smoke, dark malts. Taste comprises dark malts, herbal pangs, spice, bitter chocolate, sweet but not overbearing in this respect. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming close. Nothing I’d revisit but suppable for the ABV, hot but not terribly so, boozey but not too harsh, just about keeps in check.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is dark malty and minerals. Thick minerals and overripe fruity. Thick malty. Burning and syrupy malty. Mineral finish.
