Everyone has their price. For some, it's measured in dollars, for others it's measured in powder days. For those that have the gift of passion for the dark side, it's measured in pints of Totality Imperial Stout. Dark brown to black in color and nearly opaque, Totality has a velvet-like mouthfeel, moderate hints of dark dried fruit, espresso, beans and dark chocolate, with just a hint of hop bitterness striking the perfect balance. Welcome to the Dark Side, friends.

Picked this up from Biervana, München (cheers for the recommendation you guys) and consumed at Camping Maier Nr Schwoich and near Kurfstein Austria. Pours black with a tan head, espresso on the nose along with some liquorice. Soft in the mouth, it's a little creamy the coffee combines with a little background hop bitterness, lovely

Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Aroma has some nice chocolate, toffee and caramel notes with some lighter honey and roast notes. Light anise notes with hints of raisin, prune and plum. Hints of alcohol. Pours black with a medium sized, moderately thick, that recedes somewhat quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some chocolate notes and some lighter toffee and caramel. Hints of roast, honey and ash. Medium bitterness and light alcohol spice. Some dark fruit notes of raisin, prune, plum, date and some light anise notes. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with moderate carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer but not amazing. Placing this in barrels definitely improves it by adding some complexity and mellowing out the anise notes.

On tap at the brewhouse as part of a flight of everything they offered! Brown with moderate tan head. Slight roast and moderate low coffee. Faint chocolate. Taste includes a dusty chocolate powder character.

Bottle as shown. Pours a dark brown with beige head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is roast, chocolate, and oak. Medium mouthfeel with bitter roast and dark chocolate with lingering dry finish. Good
