Everyone has their price. For some, it's measured in dollars, for others it's measured in powder days. For those that have the gift of passion for the dark side, it's measured in pints of Totality Imperial Stout. Dark brown to black in color and nearly opaque, Totality has a velvet-like mouthfeel, moderate hints of dark dried fruit, espresso, beans and dark chocolate, with just a hint of hop bitterness striking the perfect balance. Welcome to the Dark Side, friends.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2013. Thanks, gents! Pours black-brown with a frothy beige head. Moderate roast in the aroma with notes of burnt marshmallows and chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with dry chocolate, soft roast, earth, milk chocolate. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with mellow dark fruits and more milk chocolate. Good stuff.

Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and smooth. Just a little fine carbonation. Itβs a light touch with the dark malts. A little roast and cream. Whispers of dark fruits and coffee. Light semi dry finish. Quite a light and simple Imperial Stout.

Bottle at Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a black black with a medium tan head. Aroma of caramel, cocoa and coffee. Quite powerful carbonation and a slightly more watery mouth feel than I would hope for in an Imperial Stout. Flavours of roasted malt, berries, chocolate and some sharp citrus notes. Ends with nice burnt malts and espresso.

Bottle shared by Deeblo at GBBF 2013. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is roasted malt, big coffee aspect, earthy, toast, cocoa and caramel. The taste is roasty, earth, coffee grinds, decent bitterness, oily, tar, ash, burnt toffee, salted liquorice, touch of alcohol, mild acidity and berry with a dry, roasty finsh. Full body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A tasty, well-balanced big stout.

Bottled @ gbbf, medium sample. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie, roasted malt, hint of sweet honey. Rich flavor that balances the sweetness from the malts and bitterness. Lovely beer.
