Dit is onze eerste Barrel Project van 2025. We hebben een Barley Wine gebrouwen en deze maar liefsty 14 manden laten rijpen in Craigellachie vaten. Craigellachie is een Whisky afkomstig uit het hart van de Schotse Speyside. De whiskyvaten geven deze barley wine extra diepgang van karamel en fruitige aromatische tonen.

0.33 l can from 'Beerdome', best before December 2028. Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity and slightly boozy aroma of caramel, molasses, whisky, dark fruits, some vanilla and light green apple. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity, slightly smoky-medicinal and a bit boozy taste of caramel, molasses, toasted nuts, raisins, prunes, whisky, peat, some vanilla and light soy sauce, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavy and intense beer, a bit too boozy but rather complex and moreish. Quite good!
