330ml bottle. Minimally milky, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and small, bubbly, fading, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity, mildly funky and woody aroma, notes of dark fruit, prune, blackberry, blackcurrant, hints of oak, a touch of morello, whiffs of vanilla. Taste is sour, fruity, slightly tangy and woody, notes of unripe bramble, blackcurrant, some oak, morello, a touch of vinegar. Slightly oily texture, astringent and slightly dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, fine, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Fairly balanced, sour but not too sour, slightly restrained complexity - better than just nice.

Bottle, smallish bubbly head, clear deep brown with reddish taints, wood, vanila, dried fruit compote, and some terpentine, overall quite perfumed, flavor of dried fruit compote, brown bread, a bit of green apples and just a hint of wood and a whiff of spiciness, medium strong empathic bitterness and quite dry, light to medium body. Highly enjoyable.

Keg draught at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brown and translucent with a ring of off-white head. Massive funk notes in the aroma, sour grape, balsamic vinegar, underripe blackberry, a touch of compost. Full sour taste, lots of blueberry/blackberry, some red wine, cider vinegar. Finish is long and as sour as the beginning. Weighty body, carbonation nil. An excellent grown-up's sour.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Reddish brown. Some funk, malt, caramel, red fruits, oak, sour and a bit sweetish. Very nice.
