The aroma is rich and unctuous, oily, umami, fruit cake, eccles cake, liquorice, puff of smoke, whisky, oak, leather, cacao, plum, date, figgy pudding, light spice, cake frosting and oil. The taste is dry, rich and oily, unctuous, sticky, rich whisky, motor, toothy, chocolate cake, gateaux, toothy malts, warming booze, oak, tannin, spice, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, leather, charred wood, liquorice and earth with a drying finish. Fulsome body and limited carbonation. A rich a toothy number. Oldskool, but enjoyable.
