Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - another lively one. Deep amber with an off white head. Nose - light pine and cake mixture. Taste - red fruits probably redcurrants with toffee. Light spice biscuit. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - it improved as it went on.

Bottle consumed at Cropredy ’Fairports Annual Reunion’ Festival, Cropredy, Oxon, courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig) Friday 8th August 2014 I recall saying one of these Atlantics was decent and one not so good, hmmmm... think I found the ropey one. Pours brown this is a total butterbomb, chewy, toffee, not great. I will have to try again some day. A5 A3 T4 P2 Ov9 2.3

50 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, BBE 07/2014
Aroma has quite strong blackcurrant tones. Flavour is rather tart with currants, some malty tones and distant spicy tones. Contaminated; a berry juice. Nothing to do with bitter.

Bottled@PBF IX. Ambery orange colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sour wood, some herbs and mild floral notes. Flavour is grassy, some sour wood, mild earth and some slight herbal things. Without the slight infected sourness, this would probably have been a good Bitter.

500ml bottle @ PBF IX

Pours reddish amber with a smooth head. Aroma of sourness, tart berries and malts. Taste is sourish, lactic and malty with some notes of berries. Finish is slightly tartish with some maltiness and berries. Feels quite off.

Pours clear amber, no head. Aromas are light toffee malt, nuts, light herbs. Taste is sweet. But thin, but not bad, and certainly not the buttery beer others seem to have had - a better batch perhaps?
