Tried at the Strugglers inn, Lincoln. Nice golden beer with a bitter finish. easy drinking and decent enough, for the abv. oh and for comparison £4.10 for a pint (although i'm drinking a third which was £1.37) For pricing context (Real ale pub, In the tourist area of Lincoln, in sight of both castle and cathedral, and where they used to hang people when that was a thing)

I'm probably going to come across all stuffy here, but bare in mind this is Sunderland in 2025, and I'm aware in a few years time this will be a normal price, but £5.60 a pint for a 3.8% session brew seems excessive in these austere times in the pub in the city I am in. That said it's a quality brew, hoppy, easy, good water, looks fantastic with a deeper golden glow. Definitely could drink more of this.

Cask at Hops, Crewe Rat are one brewery I will always make a beeline for if they are on the bar, because they have proved they consistently brew good beers. Names and images are great as well, though I must admit I’m getting a bit tired of the endless variety. Anyway, this oen pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. The nose is woody / piney / sprucey. In the mouth it is creamy and hoppy with vague hints of citrus. The finish is hops and lemons. Reasonable beer without much distinguishing features.
